A Notary Public is a licensed, bonded, and insured individual of integrity appointed by the California Secretary of State to administer oaths, verify signatures, and identify prospective signers. As an impartial witness, it’s my job to also determine each signer’s willingness and capacity to understand the document being signed.
As a Mobile Notary (also known as a Traveling Notary), I bring my services directly to you. Whether at your home, office, coffee shop, hospital, government facility, nursing home, or even the airport, I am here to serve you wherever you need me.
What types of documents can be Notarized?
First, I should note that I notarize signatures on documents (not necessarily the document itself, which can be a common misconception). With that said, there’s really no limitation on the types of documents I might come across on a given day. It doesn’t necessarily matter if the document has typos, is handwritten or typed, or what font, spacing, layout, or language the document is in—as long as there is a place for you to sign, then there is the potential for a signature to be notarized.
One of the few document-related stipulations from the State of California is that there should be no blank spaces on the document in question prior to notarization (except the signature line, of course). This means all dates, initials, titles, etc., need to be completed before I proceed with the notarization.
